Hey all,

A quick update on production, surveys, and logistics!

Print Hiccups

We have been troubleshooting the spot colors for the printer - turns out the way we set up the files was not quite what the printer expected. But we're happy to report that we've learned a lot about setting up spot colors and we are hopeful the PDFs we deliver this week are the final ones so that production can begin.

Surveys and Locked Orders

Thank you to everyone who's filled out their survey so far! If your survey has been completed, it is likely your order has been locked and you should have access to the digital files for Slime, Warp & Solder + Slugblaster itself, depending which tiers and add-ons you backed.

THANK YOU to everyone who has done their survey. Your radness knows no end. We're in the process of calculating shipping rates now that files are (fingers crossed) done, and that's the last piece of the pledge manager puzzle for locked orders.

PDFs Available Now

  • Version 1.0 of Slime, Warp & Solder just dropped!
  • Backers can download it via the link at the bottom of this update. Files will also be sent out using BackerKits distribution feature in the coming week. 
  • If you're not a backer, you can still buy the PDFs here, or get them automatically when you pre-order the boxset. 

Printing Underway

With the PDFs done and SEXONAPIZZA putting the finishing touches on the box, we can now start printing. We'll talk more about that process and the timeline in a future update!

Update Update: End of April Lock

Hey Everybody,

Ray here with a quick update on how Slime, Warp, Solder is going. So, long story short we're pushing back our lock date to the end of April. Here's why:

Art - We still have to get some finished pieces from Jace and the rest of the team. This was sort of a workflow thing where we prioritized the writing first but got a little deep into that and now that that's mostly locked going back to art the pieces instead of working on both simultaneously. Nonetheless, we're making good progress on this and should be done by the end of the month.

Box Case - This is trickier than we thought it was going to be. Zines are very thin, and it's hard to make a structurally sound slip case with such thing things inside of it. So, we've had to go back to the drawing board. We're pivoting to a box design that can be opened up with the zines placed inside. It won't exactly be a slipcase but it'll still be really awesome. We've had a couple of rounds of back and forth with the manufacturer to make sure we get this nice and tight with the die lines. We're in draft two of this right now so stay tuned.

Also, I've begun to do a once a month update type thing over on our socials called "Around the Horn." This is where I give a general state of Mythworks with all of the things we have going on and where they are. Some art for Solder, some edits for Warp and Solder, and some odds & ends to get the books and extra goodies ready for print! But we've cleared the #1 chokepoint (my writing speed) and are speeding toward release.
